This trip has been postponed
Dear friends in Christ, I invite you to join myself and other parishioners of St. Henry and Our Lady of Good Hope as we experience the awe and wonder of walking where Jesus Christ Himself walked. This is a great opportunity for us as a parish and as a faith community to come together and grow in our faith.
After his Baptism, Jesus invites His first disciples to “Come and See.” (John 1:39) He invites us to do the same. This is why the ancient tradition of making a pilgrimage remains so important in our Christian faith. For nearly two millennia Christians have traveled to holy sites to walk the paths that our ancestors-in-faith walked before us.
Our pilgrimage will take us through Holy places such as Jerusalem, Bethany, The Jordan River, the Sea of Galilee, and much more. Each day we will celebrate the Eucharist as we explore the awe and wonder of these holy places, while we experience a vast culture that is so different from our own.
The pilgrimage is designed so that we have ample time to take in all the sites without feeling like we are rushed. We will visit the Mount of Olives, Holy Sepulcher Church, The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the sites of Jesus’ Miracles in Galilee, and much more.
Our pilgrimage will be a great blend of religious experiences and cultural richness. It will be a time of prayer immersed in our faith. It will be a time to learn, relax; and to feast and shop; surrounded by the beauty and wonder of these historic places.
We hope you can join us on this sacred walk of faith.
