Through the Apostle James, we hear “Are there any who are sick among you? Let them send for the priests of the Church, and let the priests pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick persons, and the Lord will raise them up. And if they have committed any sins, their sins will be forgiven them.”
The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is meant for those who are ill. It offers them the help of God’s Grace in their suffering and helps prepare those who are in the act of dying the grace to leave this world in good standing and enter into eternal life.
If someone you know is ill; Preparing for surgery or is terminally ill. Call St. Henry at 937-434-9231 to let us know so that one of our priests can administer the Sacrament.
